My creation

This is my final creation for this unit, i have created a mark book for english, i have generated fake names to keep identities safe. This mark-book is fully functional, it automatically changes the "Total" if you change any grade in any category. I have used my knowledge as research mostly.

This will be very beneficial for many students and teachers who are not able to keep track of grades and/ or don't know how to keep track of them. I find this creation very simple to use and very easy to make as well, it requires a certain skill set to make this, but with the right guidance and knowledge almost anyone can make this with an hour or two. 

As you can clearly tell this layout of the mark book is extremely straight forward and simple. It has the titles very clear as well as the names and can effortlessly be modified to anyone liking.

Term 3 Blog / Investigation.

 Introduction:

Starting from this post is my Term 3 ICT blog for this unit in excel. 

I have chosen to look into and further extract information about making mark-books in excel, specifically excel 2010. I will be creating a mark-book on a total of 3 tests within 9CC, for the names, they will be made up, the reason is to please everyone's privacy requirements. But i will be getting results accurately. 

I have chosen the subject of "English" to retrieve marks from, the reason for this is because we had multiple assessments and tests, which go through a wide variety which include, Oral, Presentations, Booklets and written. So this gives me a big selection of marks to choose from. 

 The reason why i have chosen to make a mark book is because i find it interesting to find and develop a way to easily keep track and easily edit multiple students marks. 

Primary Research:

Primarily my research will consist of asking questions to students in 9CC, after accumulating all of the results for different tests and assessments i will compile them into the excel mark-book.

Like i previously stated i will be using fake names, to please privacy requirements.

My primary research will also involve talking to my English teacher to retrieve my own marks as well.

Secondary Research:
My task does not involve much or any secondary research at all, the reason for this is because most of my research involves verbal communication and one on one conversations, and i can get all my information from the students and my teacher. Maybe the most secondary research i wil need is to find fake names.

Unity
My two ideas for 2015's tech fair are as follows
A game using unity, unity is a software in which you can develop and produce games. Alot of game developers use unity as there is no coding involved, its a lot with shapes.
Unity allows even the most amateur game developer to produce a game with very high standards.
It allows users to produce games with no charge the software is free.
So my idea is to create a game using unity:

Materials:

• Unity Software
• Time

Pros And Cons

Pros:
 The pros of this project are that,

• It will be interesting to make for me
• A new experience
• A new software to learn

Cons:

The cons are

• Very time consuming

My second idea: 

Xcode

is Physically coding a game, using a coding language such as c++, Java, Python etc. 

I will accomplish this task by using xcode, xcode is a mac application which allows developers to make applications for free, but to upload them to the app store you would have to pay. I have learnt C++ to a certain level where I can individually and independently code small games. 

Xcode is a software provided by apple, and the official language that Apple use for coding is C++

Conclusion

 In conclusion i will be using my first idea since its all new to me. To add i will learn something new which will hopefully aid me in the future.

Introduction

Tech Fair 2015 

For this years tech fair I expect to surpass my expectations and last years grade. My experience with the tech fair last year in 2014 had been exceptionally good. What is the tech fair?
The tech fair is a place where you can express yourself my producing anything that incorporates the use of computers, devices or technology in general. You get assessed on how much effort you put into what you have to present. The experience is absolutely amazing, seeing and experiencing all of these inventions and products, truly seeing what the students of eism have to offer. There are student judges as well, they will evaluate your product and give score based on peer to peer bases. Then the vote decides the best product at the tech fair.  My expectations are high for this year, due to reason that i saw such amazing things last year at the tech fair. Overall the tech fair is a great opportunity for the students to express their geeky side.
